Business Information Systems Lecturer

Job Description

The Business Information Systems (BIS) Department in the College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University is accepting applications for full-time, non-tenure-track teaching positions, to commence in August 2024.

Due to strong growth, the BIS department has teaching needs in the areas of project management, SAP/ERP, and cybersecurity. Within these areas, industry experience and recognized certifications are desired.

Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate information systems courses, both face-to-face and online.

Required Qualifications
  • A PhD or an industry professional with a master’s degree in a professional discipline and relevant experience.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience, including face-to-face and online teaching, and the ability to work with online programs.
  • Experience and certification in one or more of the following: Project Management (PMP certification), Six Sigma (Master Black Belt), Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Python, Database, SAP/ERP, ABAP.

About the Department
Central Michigan’s Department of Business Information Systems offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in Information Systems and Applied Business Communication. The department offers courses in information systems, data analytics, cybersecurity, project management, and ERP for graduate and undergraduate students. The Department also houses the highly reputable SAP University Alliance Program that prepares students for TS410 SAP certification.
