Job Description
Drs. Patrick Green (https://vet.osu.edu/PatrickGreen ) and Amanda Panfil (https://vet.osu.edu/about-us/people/amanda-panfil ), members of the Center for Retrovirus Research within the College of Veterinary Medicine, The Ohio State University invite applications for a full-time position at the level of Post-Doctoral Scholar within their research group. The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree, outstanding academic credentials, and a record of scholarly productivity in the areas of virology, retrovirology, and/or tumor biology. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct research to determine the molecular basis of T-lymphocyte transformation and disease development caused by human T-cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV-1). The lab uses molecular tools, coupled with both in vitro and in vivo animal models of infection and disease, to understand the cellular and viral players involved in genetic and epigenetic regulation of HTLV-1 gene expression and oncogenesis. Position is full-time and will require a background check. Position may be renewable up to 3 years.
Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Academic)
Required Qualifications
PhD with a background in any of the following areas or equivalent field: virology, retrovirology, and/or tumor biology.

Standing for long periods of time, Sitting/staring at computer screens for long periods of time
Exposure to animal dander and/or zoonotic diseases
Exposure to needle sticks, hazardous chemicals, and/or bio hazardous waste
Requires weekend, nights, and/or holiday hours
