Job Description Summary:
Assists in coordinating and providing services at A-B Tech Madison.

Duties
1. Serves as a representative of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in Madison County.
2. Performs curriculum and continuing education admissions, placement testing, proctor exams, student orientations, advising, and registration. Disseminates accurate information about scholarships, financial aid, campus events and opportunities.
3. Collects tuition, sells textbooks, reconciles business office cash drawer and bookstore POS. Coordinates textbook sales and delivery.
4. Assists in planning course offerings, coordinates scheduling facility for meetings and events, enters events and meetings into internal database for facility usage report. Maintains a master schedule of classes and events for each semester and term.
5. Serves as the initial contact for the site for students, instructors, and the public, answers the telephone, schedules appointments and referrals, and other administrative duties.
6. Provides technical assistance for instructors, students, and outside agencies.
7. Assumes supervisory responsibility for students, staff, and facility in absence of the director.
8. Prepares and submits e-procurement requests, works with vendors on state contract.
9. Represents the College in off-campus/on-site community functions, assists in coordinating college and community functions held on-site.
10. Maintains A-B Tech Madison webpage, Facebook page, and lobby media with updated course offerings and events. Keeps updated flyers available in the lobby and classrooms.
11. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values and RISE statement.
12. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)
1. Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree;
2. Must have at least one year of full-time or equivalent customer service work experience in an environment that requires completion of multiple tasks at once;
3. Must have experience with basic money collection and receipt generation;
4. Must have at least one year of full-time or equivalent experience using Microsoft Office applications;
5. Must have a minimum of one year of full-time or equivalent supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Two years of full-time or equivalent supervisory experience.
2. Two years of full-time or equivalent experience working in a community college.
3. Experience working in student services at a community college or university.
4. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language

Your total compensation goes beyond this maximum salary. Your A-B Tech benefits represent nearly 30% of your total compensation.
