Job Summary:
The goals of this postdoctoral position are to support the clinical research training, career development, and professional growth of the post-doctoral fellow by fostering skills and knowledge in pediatric allergy and immunology. The focus of the research position will be the effects of rhinovirus on asthma. The post-doctoral fellow will work under the supervision of a primary research mentor. The fellow will work with his/her mentor on an original research project and acquire the skills to successfully develop a hypothesis, design a study, and execute a project. There are also expectations that the postdoctoral fellow will author publications, make presentations at scientific and/or professional meetings, and ultimately apply for independent grant funding.
Minimum Qualifications:
Participation in this program requires a 12 month commitment of at least 40 hours per week on research and training.Minimum of a doctoral degree (MD). Must have completed General Pediatrics (3 years) or Medicine-Pediatrics Residency (4 years) and an ACGME-accredited Allergy/Immunology Fellowship (2 year minimum). Applicant must be ABAI board eligible.
