Job Description

Job Duties
1. Using both the traditional and the non-traditional formats (short-term, weekend, online, hybrid, off. campus, web-enhanced), teach a full load of assigned courses at times when needed, which can include (1) during the day, including early morning, late afternoon, evening (2) holidays or (3) weekends.
2. Continuously improve each course’s methods, content, relevance, and value.
3. Ensure the appropriate and adequate evaluation of student achievement and progress.
4. Work with the school chairperson, other instructors, and administration to evaluate and improve the School of Business, Law, Hospitality, and Culinary.
5. Attend all school and general faculty meetings.
6. Post and maintain class/office hours as college policy directs.
7. Understand the Learning Resources Center services and recommend LRC Improvements via the School of Business, Law, Hospitality, and Culinary Chairperson.
8. Participate in the Student Advisory system and make accurate recommendations to students for program completion and transfer.
9. Maintain an active industry-enriched advisory committee.
10. Earn employee development units as required.
11. Maintain proper public relations with the community.
12. Understand the mission of MGCCC as it pertains to helping students perform In the classroom at the level of their capabilities.
13. Serve on college or state-level instructional committees.
14. Maintain adequate records and make timely reports.
15. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Job Description
The primary responsibility is teaching assigned courses in associate degree, diploma, or certificate programs. Teaching faculty must follow established policies and procedures and are encouraged to participate in appropriate organizations and activities.

Mandatory Qualifications
(M1) Bachelor’s degree in either (a) Marketing Education or (b) a related field. (M2) One (1) year of work experience in Marketing Management. (M3) Written and interpersonal communication skills. (M4) Computer Literacy.

Desirable Qualifications
(D1) Master’s degree with eighteen (18) semester hours of graduate credit in or directly related to Marketing Management. (D2) Community college and/or college-level teaching experience. (D3) Technology-enhanced instructional delivery experience.
