- Thorough understanding of WiFi 802.11 protocols, hands on protocol design or implementation experience preferred.
- Profound understanding of wireless system architecture
- Excellent debugging skills in both software and hardware to solve challenging problems
- Mastering at least one programming or scripting language
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience with Bluetooth protocols is a plus
Description
Description
We are looking for a motivated engineer with excellent problem solving and communication skills. In this role, you will bring up new hardware and sign off on WiFi/BT power, work on power optimizations of WiFi/BT technology, build energy model for WiFi/BT usage in the field. You would also be responsible for using large data analytics to analyze WiFi/BT usage in the field to identify power improvement opportunities. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid foundation in systems design/architecture coupled with good understanding of 802.11 and network protocols.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
