As a Materials Engineer | Glass & Ceramics within the Materials Product Design organization, you will drive the rapid advancement of materials and processes that are the foundation of Apple devices. Working closely with multi-functional teams and external vendors, you will determine the optimal engineering paths to meet the stringent requirements in future Apple products. Key Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years experience in relevant industry
- Strong materials fundamentals in structure-properties relationship
- Knowledge of different materials characterization and analysis methods (i.e. SEM, EDS, XRD, Raman, Spectrophotometers, etc)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use statistical tools and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to independently, drive projects, and deliver products
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing technical expertise and updates on project milestones
- Familiarity with brittle material finishing technologies (highly preferred)
- Technical knowledge of glass, glass-ceramics or structural ceramics (highly preferred)

As a Materials Engineer | Glass & Ceramics, you will work with a team of multi-functional partners and external vendors to develop, test, and validate new material solutions for a wide range of Apple products. Your ability to deep dive into material fundamentals, creatively solve challenging problems, and collaborate well with interdisciplinary teams is key to delivering the best material solutions and products to our customers. - At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
