The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in the area of neurodegenerative diseases in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at McGovern Medical School.
We seek applications from candidates who explore molecular, cellular, immunological and/or circuit mechanisms underlying progressive neurodegeneration and dementia.
We are located within the Texas Medical Center and its very rich and collaborative neuroscience community including The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University and the University of Houston.
Position Key Accountabilities :
The appointed individual will be expected to develop a strong, independent research program and contribute to our departmental teaching mission.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D.) and postdoctoral experience.
