What You Will Do
The Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated candidate for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow in the Earth System Observations Group of the Earth and Environmental Sciences Division. The primary goal of the support funding is to analyze the molecular and isotopic content of gas and fluid inclusions from geologic samples. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to perform analyses on, and interpret results from, a suite of truly unique geochemical specimens. Additional opportunities for collaboration within EES Division and across the Laboratory’s diverse fields of research will be available.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Innovative, hands-on experimentalist with expertise in light stable isotope mass spectrometry and a particular aptitude in developing novel, front-end sample introduction capabilities.
Strong written and oral communication skills demonstrated through publications in professional journals and presentations at research meetings.
Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance which usually requires U.S. citizenship.
Education/Experience : A Ph.D. in geosciences, chemistry, physics, materials science or closely related fields completed within the last five years is required.
