Applicants must have received their PhD in 2018 or later; exceptions may be made in special cases, for example, for career interruptions. Applications by highly qualified candidates from groups underrepresented in the mathematical sciences are particularly encouraged. For those hired into the position(s), particular emphasis will be for professional development, including mentoring on grant-writing, and support for participation in professional societies. Due to NSF rules, the position is restricted to US citizens, nationals and permanent residents. Applications must consist of i) cover letter, ii) curriculum vitae, iii) research statement, iv) teaching statement, v) publications list, and vi) three letters of reference, at least one of which addresses the applicant’s teaching.

Applications should be submitted directly to www.mathjobs.org. Successful applicants will be expected to work with one or more current University of Texas at Austin faculty members and those with whom an applicant might work should be named in the cover letter and indicated on the Mathjobs application.

For full consideration applicants are encouraged to submit all materials before February 3, 2021. However, consideration of applications is ongoing until positions are filled.
