New York Institute of Technology - College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) seeks a Postdoctoral Fellow. This is a grant funded position located at the Long Island, NY campus.
Manage individual laboratory experiments as agreed upon and approved by the supervising professor. This includes implementing the experimental design, data collection, statistical analysis, writing, and submitting manuscripts.
Train and oversee research data collection by students, lab technicians, and possibly other junior postdoctoral fellows.
Assist with and writing grant proposals.
Attend and present at seminars/journal clubs and national scientific meetings.
PhD, MD, DO, DVM, DDS, or other doctoral level biomedical degree is required.
Must have experience in biomedical research, preferred field of expertise in cell and molecular biology.
General knowledge of research methodology.
Ability to search and analyze literature, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, implement experiments, analyze data, prepare and submit publications.
Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Mastery of routine biomedical research techniques in one or more of the following areas: chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, morphology/imaging, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
