Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for The School of Social Work’s Center for Research on Ending Violence (REV). This position oversees all administrative, programmatic, and evaluation components among four different campuses on the “Enhancing Victim Services Throughout Rutgers University” project funded by a Victims of Crime Act grant and related projects. As a leader of the team, responsibilities will focus primarily on the coordination of all program and project activities among the different campuses, providing support to help each campus meet the goals of the grant.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Works to develop a coordinated, university-wide response to issues of interpersonal violence. Works closely with senior leadership at the University to oversee the creation and implementation of all university wide efforts.
  • Using evaluation data and best practices gleaned from the research literature and evaluation activities at the University, this position provides recommendations and guidance for the University’s plan to build inclusive and safe campus environments.
  • Interfaces with the funder and other state-level partners.
  • Represents the project at events throughout the university, state, and nationally.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in social work or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and basic understanding of research/ evaluation and report writing principles and practices.
  • A minimum of two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication skills, and computer literacy.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Must successfully complete Rutgers University Human Subjects Certification Program (CITI) within two weeks of employment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with coordination of university wide campaigns and overall program/ project management.
  • Masters degree
  • Have an understanding of issues related to campus sexual violence, Title IX, and services for survivors of violent crimes.
Equipment Utilized
  • The position requires the regular use of a computer and expertise with the following software: Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  • In addition, use of library resources is necessary to perform searches for current literature and research (e.g., library catalogue, indexes and databases, electronic resources) and to obtain materials.
