Lake Land College seeks an experienced and energetic leader to serve as its next Vice President for Workforce Solutions and Community Education. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President is the chief outreach officer to the business, industry and corrections sectors and guides overall leadership and vision for the workforce solutions and community education unit of the college. The Vice President works as part of the executive leadership team to provide strategic and innovative leadership and oversight for all operations of the workforce solutions and community education unit, including Lake Land College’s Adult Education Program, Alternative High School (Pathways), Center for Business and Industry, Effingham Education Centers, WIOA, community education, continuing education, regional centers and correctional programs. The Vice President serves as chief advisor to the President in the formation of policies affecting the workforce solutions and community education programs
The successful candidate must have a Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution, with a doctorate preferred. Additionally at least five years of progressively responsible, administrative experience with community colleges, workforce and community education efforts, and grant budgets is required.
Lake Land College, a public, comprehensive community college in East Central Illinois, serves approximately 15,000 credit and non-credit students and 5,700 FTE annually. The College’s annual budgeted expenditures are $109 million, with an annual operating budget of $59 million. Lake Land’s service area is nearly 4,000 square miles and includes 31 school districts and all or part of 15 counties.
