Position Summary

The successful candidate will work in a highly interdisciplinary team including Speech-Hearing Scientists, Clinicians, and Cognitive Psychologists to spearhead collaborative research with one of the School’s primary faculty members. Training opportunities include experimental techniques in EEG/ERPs, eye-tracking, psychoacoustics, computational modeling, acoustic and speech/voice signal analysis, linguistic analysis, and other psychophysiological approaches. Opportunities also include state-of-the-art ethological observational methods to investigate the origin and development of human communication and interaction.

The candidate will be expected to contribute to all stages of research in the lab of their choosing including designing research and methodological approaches, either experimental or observational, supervising students in data collection, analyzing data, and disseminating results. Teaching opportunities are negotiable depending on the candidate’s interests.

Minimum Position Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD in speech/hearing science, cognitive neuroscience, psychology, or a related field.
