Report to the Assistant Dean in the Graduate Academic & Career Development Center (Grad Center). Lead and manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the marketing and event strategies aligned with the Grad Center's strategic plan. This positions responsibilities also include the following functions:

  • Manage strategy, planning, execution of major projects and events including Commencement, Orientation, and Marketing & Communication. Do so by leading projects from idea to implementation to assessment. Manage all components such as who, what, where, why, and how.

  • Grad Center Manager for website, social media, communications, oversight of event and promotional marketing materials.

  • Point of contact for current and prospective PhD students, provide PhD program support, and assess quality and satisfaction of all Grad Center sponsored events.

  • Supervision of Front Desk Operations and Social Media Graduate Assistant.

Required Skills

Bachelors Degree required; proficient in Adobe Suite, Wordpress, Social Media Analytics, Word, File Maker, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to provide customer service to a diverse population; and one to three years of relevant experience.
