Posting Details (Default Section) Posting Number: 20130155FAC Position Title: Computer Science Instructor Temporary Pool 2014-2016 Position Type: Faculty Position Type of Faculty Position: Temporary Pool Department: Computer Science Job Summary/Basic Function: The Department of Computer Science at East Stroudsburg University is establishing a two-year, temporary faculty teaching pool. Applications for temporary vacancies are accepted on an on-going basis and remain current for the 2014 through 2016 academic years. Applications on-hand will be used to fill vacancies as needed. Type of Position: Part Time Required Qualifications: Applicant must be competent to teach courses in Computer Science. A MS degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required and experience working with diverse student populations preferred. A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field is preferred for advanced undergraduate or graduate courses. Candidate should demonstrate teaching excellence in areas of competence. Final selection will be based on excellence in scholastic achievement, a review of the candidate’s curriculum vitae and a successful interview. Distance learning and/or off-campus teaching opportunities may be possible. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse student populations.
