Job Description

Required Education:

PhD biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry or related field

Required Experience:

Three (3) years postdoctoral experience in biophysical chemistry

Preferred Experience:

4+ years postdoctoral experience in biophysical chemistry in HX-MS

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Biophysical chemistry; protein chemistry; protein thermodynamics; protein function.

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Expertise in HX-MS of proteins

50%: Establish and maintain an advance capability in protein hydrogen exchange mass spectrometry.

20%: Participate in NMR HX and related NMR based studies. 

5%: Participate in computational studies of proteins.

10%: Guide graduate students and undergraduate students; Assist periodically in graduate level teaching.

5%: Assist in the design of research; Assist in the compilation of research results and writing of research papers.

5%: Contribute to the maintenance and administration of the research laboratory and group.

5%: Performs other duties as assigned.

THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION.
