JOB SUMMARY
TheInstitute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP) at the University of Connecticutand Dr. Ryan Watson's Sexual and Gender Minority Labinviteapplications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowposition.The postdoctoral fellow will work onNational Institutes of Health(NIH)funded research studies,which focuson reducing health disparities for sexual and gender minority youth and youth adults, as well as developingHIV prevention/interventions. The aimof this work is to reduce health disparities along the HIV care continuum, including, in part, developing interventions to improve HIV testing uptake,preexposureprophylaxis (PrEP)use, and medication adherence.
The candidate will be involved in the implementation, oversight, and evaluationofresearch studiesworking with sexualorientation and race/ethnic minority populations. Work will focus oncollectingmultilevel data,conductingmultilevel analyses, interpretingmultilevel data, submission of research findings for conferences and peer-reviewed publications, and translation of research findings intopractice. The candidate will work with Dr. Watsonto coordinate grant milestones,contribute to annual grant reports, lead and contribute to scholarly writing, and conduct research with members ofan interdisciplinary team. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal, writing, and research skills, strong time management and organizational skills,andthe ability to prioritizedeadlines and work both independently and as a member of the research team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A doctoral degree in an area of health, social, or behavioral sciences; evidence of strong scholarship through published research in the field of social science and health; demonstrated evidence of organizational skills and attention to detail; strong writing skills; strong interpersonal skills; and demonstrated experience conducting advanced quantitative data analyses.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated skills in working in research with LGBTQ populations.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is an 12-month, annually renewable position.
