The candidate will lead the field sampling efforts, whole genome sequencing data generation and analysis. The candidate will work to delineate the bacterial resistome using metagenomics in broilers and their environment, and study its subsequent impact on the dissemination and persistence of drug resistant Salmonella and Campylobacter in a conventional antibiotic restricted indoor production systems.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., M.D., D.V.M., Sc.D.) in appropriate field awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral appointment.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

Ideal candidate would be trained in or have experience in metagenomics, whole genome sequencing, antimicrobial resistance, bioinformatics data analysis.
