The Operations and Information Systems (OIS) Department in the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah seeks candidates for a fulltime career-line faculty (lecturer) position in Operations and Supply Chain Management. A graduate degree is required for the position and a PhD is preferred, but may be substituted by relevant work experience. The primary responsibilities of this position will be teaching, and developing and administering a Masters program in OSC or a related field. Depending on experience and education level, the candidate may also be expected to conduct original research and serve on various departmental and college committees. Faculty members at the David Eccles School are highly research active and well networked in academia and industry. Opportunities to collaborate in research studies and practice-oriented student projects are abundant. Depending on education and experience, lecturers can hold the rank of instructor, assistant professor, associate professor or professor. Successful candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses as well as be actively involved in mentoring student clubs, managing OSC-related competitions, and promoting the programs. Areas where expertise is desired include (but are not limited to) operations management, supply chain management, product management, and healthcare management.
