Department Name/Job Location

This position is in the Department of Neurology. This position is for the Medical School Campus.

Essential Functions


This position involves performing basic research related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and tauopathies. Activities will include designing experiments, performing experiments, presenting results to colleagues both at Washington University and internationally, and writing up results for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals, as well as some participation in preparation of grants.


  • Assists in the design and performing of research experiments.
  • Evaluates research findings and assists in the reporting and presenting of the results.
  • Prepares and submits papers on research for scientific publication.
  • Assists with grant preparation and reporting.

Required Qualifications


Ph.D. degree in a related scientific discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly accomplished Ph.D. work.
  • Ability to design and perform experiments, analyze data, write up results and present data.


Salary Range

Base pay commensurate with experience.
