The Graduate Center for Vision Research at the State University of New York, College
of Optometry invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Dr. Stewart Bloomfield’s lab. Dr. Bloomfield’s research program uses molecular, histological, imaging, and electrophysiological techniques to study the role of electrical synaptic transmission in coding and transmission of visual information in the retina. Past experience in the field of neuroscience and the use of patch recording techniques is required.
The Graduate Center for Vision Research (www.sunyopt.edu/research) consists of a scientifically vibrant community addressing a variety of basic and applied topics in vision science. The College is situated in the center of Manhattan’s scientific, medical and cultural activities.
