The Department of Chemical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University has an opening for a Postdoctoral researcher position in the area of membranes for bioprocessing as part of the research group led by Andrew Zydney, Bayard D. Kunkle Chair. The Postdoc will be responsible for studying the virus clearance in continuous bioprocessing as part of a collaboration with two leading biopharmaceutical companies as well as a major membrane company. The research will involve the use of bacteriophage as model viruses to study virus clearance during virus filtration. The postdoc will be involved in the preparation of monthly progress reports, data analysis, conference presentations, and technical manuscripts. A Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering along with experience in membrane filtration is required. Applicants should provide a cover letter and CV as well as a list of references.
