Job Summary/Basic Function:

Responsible for the development, execution, and growth of an artificial intelligent (AI) cognitive systems and autonomy research portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science or related field

10 or more years experience as a research scientist or in the computer science field conducting relevant research

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience Deep Learning, AI programs

Experience with DARPA, ONR, DOD research programs

Essential Functions and percent of time:

70% -Execute AI and Cognitive Systems research including but not limited to the development, design, and implementation of research objectives and performance of data analysis

20% – Build a research portfolio through identification and pursuit of opportunities in AI research inclusive of goal driven autonomy, machine learning, volitional explanation, and other. Including leading technical proposal writing activities.

10% – Produce and present publications in AI, Cognitive Systems, and Autonomy research for the purpose of promotion Wright State and WSRI research interests; write reports, conference papers, and journal papers to report on results; contribute to the writing of white papers and proposals to obtain future funding; attend conferences to represent research efforts.

Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
