VICE PROVOST AND ASSOCIATE VICE CHANCELLOR FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
The University of South Carolina Upstate seeks a dynamic academic leader to serve as Vice Provost and Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The Vice Provost will work closely with the Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs as well as the Deans. Required: The successful candidate will have: an earned doctorate from an accredited university and be qualified to be tenured preferably in a discipline taught at USC Upstate; teaching experience and demonstrated understanding of faculty development as well as faculty culture and promotion processes; experience fostering diversity as a goal in areas of faculty hiring, development and retention; a minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) of leadership experience in administrative positions within a university setting (e.g., dean, department chair, director, associate dean), and extensive knowledge of academic administration, policies, and procedures; and experience with accreditation and academic program assessment.
