Chemistry Consultant

Key Role:

Serve as an expert in multiple chemistry disciplines, including physical, organic, inorganic, and analytical. Demonstrate experience as part of a team that either applied novel chemistry to production processes or transitioned chemical substances to novel products. Act as a technical consultant to a government research and development client. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward research efforts in new development of applications for novel chemicals and the exploitation of cutting edge chemistry for new applications. Maintain and leverage technical expertise and relationships in serving clients. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior decision-makers while conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility and the defense applications of new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government R&D efforts.

 

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with research related to chemistry or chemical engineering

-2+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-PhD degree

 

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with postdoctoral or industry research

-Experience with defense research and development

-Knowledge of multiple chemistry disciplines a plus

-Possession of excellent client service skills

-PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field
