Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The College of Liberal Arts and Science at Iowa State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in bioanalytical chemistry within the Department of Chemistry.

In this position, the individual will develop bioanalytical methods using ionic liquid and magnetic ionic liquid-based materials for the analysis of nucleic acids and viable bacteria. Research activities with be conducted under supervision of Dr. Jared Anderson.

Required Education and Experience

Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry completed prior to start date.

Preferred Education and Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in biochemistry including a background in nucleic acid chemistry and proficiency in PCR and qPCR, analytical chemistry, and separation science.
